So I went yesterday to the Youth Pride event at the Arlington St. Castle. After Romney’s half-scuttling of the Governor’s Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth and Article 8’s frothing at the supposed sordid goings on, I wanted to show some support in the face of right-wing rabble-rousing.
Let me just say for the record how ridiculous the Article 8 folks are. Instead of S&M floats or , what you had was a bunch was a bunch of gangly drama club kids with baggy trousers and their goth lesbian friends running around like it was some combination prom and pep rally day carnival. I’ve seen more shocking things from the (straight) teens at Cambridgeside Galleria Mall. Really.
Maybe the Article 8 people should look inward first to surmise why they see incidious, all powerful, predatory sexuality everywhere they look.
