Barneys Bonanza

Posted on Thursday 9 March 2006

Tonight’s grand opening of Barneys Boston is spiking up the search engine traffic leading here. All because of a post I wrote a month ago that won’t be very helpful to the hordes of Googlers.

Puritan City has more, noting that "Word on the street is that everyone wants an invite, and nobody got one. At least nobody cool."

In other retail news, Adam Gaffin chimes in on the Back Bay Architectural Commission:

Apple has dared to propose replacing a completely non-descript two-story building with a three-story glass building right across the street from the World’s Largest Milk Carton, near the the giant sun-blocking wall that is the convention center and down the street from the Darth Vader Building….maybe Apple needs to come back with a design consisting entirely of red bricks. After all, what says "Boston place" more than bricks?
