New Stuff

Posted on Friday 17 June 2005

1) Check out HubArts.com, a new blog set up by a former Herald arts editor to collect and comment on arts news across the city. It’s an excellent site (see his post on the Bewitched statue); I only hope that he expands it a big to include links to blogs discussing the arts scene here. Modern Kicks, for example, has a great review of the new ICA exhibit.

2) There’s a truism that you start seeing your dissertation in everything. Fortunately, for me, I have David Brooks articles on middlebrow and Slate’s summer movie week to help me along. Wulingren, however, has risen to the challenge of using Yao Daoism to illuminate current events (and vice versa?).

3) There have been more and more comments, excellent ones, left at this site. Thank you. They’re the best compliment a blogger can receive. I haven’t had time to respond to them. Let me just point out a particularly good one submitted concerning the future of digital in film exhibition.
