MP3 Experiment

Posted on Saturday 11 December 2004

Never one to miss any bandwagon to jump on, I’ve been toying with the idea of starting an MP3 blog. If you’re not familiar with the idea, an MP3 blog posts music files for a limited time, taking off the links as new songs are posted. The idea is something akin to college radio, with an emphasis on more obscure and out-of-print material. My favorites to date are a great C-86 blog and Teaching the Indie Kids to Dance.

So far, there has been too much to work out before starting one myself - server space, software for my Mac which is still running OS 9.obsolete, spare time, etc. But since I seem to have some bandwidth to spare for now, I thought I’d give a shot at putting up some tracks for the recent post on cover versions. So keep an eye on that page, and please download to your hard drive rather than click to listen.
