Great Interview with Clark

Posted on Wednesday 1 October 2003

I’ve fallen a bit behind on keeping up with the developments in the Democratic primary race. Hope to get around getting a better sense of the candidates over the next few weeks. But for now I’ll call attention to Josh Marshall’s latest interview with Wesley Clark. Impressive. Clark comes across as smart, down-to-earth and impassioned. Able to cut down the conservative’s missteps on economic and domestic policy, and clearly versed in what’s at stake for foreign policy decisions. Particularly fascinating is his claim that the current administration’s approach to Middle East state is still colored by sentiments lingering from the Cold War era. A claim so simple, but when you look at the current slate of “allies” and “enemies” it’s hard not to find truth in it. Anyway, have a read.
