On Ari Fleisher’s resignation:
The resignation was his idea, and he notified Mr Bush of his decision in an emotional meeting on Friday, Mr Fleischer told reporters. The president ended the conversation “by kissing me on the head”, he added.
Why would Fleischer, famous for divulging no real detail in his briefings, reveal such a creepy image? I can’t tell if it makes Bush seem more like Pope or Emperor.
